With a career spanning almost twenty years, half a million album sales, gold and platinum albums and eight Golden Guitar Awards, Adam Harvey is one of Australia's most popular & enduring recording artists. His new album 'Family Life', released on August 22nd, follows the outstanding success of 'The Great Country Songbook', his platinum selling album with Troy Cassar-Daley.
" This Album really came very naturally to me. It was also a lot of fun because I'm writing songs and singing about the things that I love the most … family! I can still remember the day thirteen years ago when Kathy called me on my way home from work to say that I was going to become a father...I was so frightened that I nearly crashed the car! Back then I could have never imagined the love, pride, and sense of purpose that my family would give me. That's where this album comes from. I've been blessed with the best job in the world and I never take it for granted, but being a good father to my son and daughter will always be my greatest achievement. "
Joining Adam on his Family Life Tour are The Sunny Cowgirls and W.A. golden guitar winner Chelsea Basham.
From sheep shearing through to the outback sun, The Sunny Cowgirls proudly write and sing about their lives. They are top selling country singers, tractor drivers, dog trainers and rouseabouts. You may not find a country act anywhere that lives the life more than sisters Sophie & Celeste. They write what they live and make no apologies for it. The Sunny Cowgirls demonstrate through music their zest for fun and they don't shy away from having a good time, which is why they agreed in a heartbeat to join their buddy Adam Harvey on tour.
"We'll have to be well rested for this tour, because it's always a lot of fun touring with Adam!" say Sophie and Celeste.
Chelsea Basham grew up in the West Australian wheat belt town of Wongan Hills. Her debut album "I Make My Own Sunshine", released in August 2012, produced three #1 singles and won her a Best New Talent Golden Guitar Award in 2013. Her warm, soulful voice and catchy songs have earned her a lot of fans in a short amount of time. Chelsea's song 'I Learned The Hard Way' recently received a nomination for 'Country Work Of The Year' at the 2014 APRA awards.
"I'm thrilled to be touring with two of my all time favourite country acts," remarks Chelsea.
Adam Harvey's Family Life tour, with special guests The Sunny Cowgirls and Chelsea Basham is touring nationally from October 2014.
"It's my larger than life traveling country show" says Adam…"good friends, great songs and a lot of laughs. It's a great night out! "
