Get ready for an Aussie rock invasion of Bunbury, when The Angels, Diesel and Mi-Sex perform Friday 14 March, 2014 at Bayside Beats - Rocking the Races!
The legendary Angels are by any measure one of Australia's greatest and most enduring rock bands. The Angels are hitting the road in 2014 to showcase a new album Talk the Talk and share all their hits with audiences. Hits such as No Secrets, Marseilles, Take a Long Line, Mr Damage, Let The Night Roll On, Waiting For The Sun and Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again.
Prodigious singer-guitarist Mark Lizotte, aka DIESEL, is one of those rare talents who has immense popular appeal. His fluid feel for blues-inspired guitar, soulful voice and hits like Tip Of My Tongue, Cry In Shame, Soul Revival and All Come Together have ensured him a consistently successful solo career and a loyal following.
It took lead singer, Steve Gilpin's unfortunate death to force Mi-Sex underground for 20 years. Recently they tested the chemistry between the band, the songs and the fans and its success has made them come together and perform for the crowds again. Nowadays Steve Balbi from Noiseworks fronts the band which is currently receiving great reviews for their east coast performances.
The concert is a WA Country Cups initiative and is supported by Eventscorp's Regional Events Program, which is funded by the State Government's Royalties for Regions program. The funding has provided enhanced marketing and events management initiatives to create and elevate peripheral activities around regional thoroughbred race meets in Kalgoorlie, Bunbury & Broome over the next 3 years.
