BREC Art Party

Friday 16 January 04:00 PM
BREC Art Party

BREC will be a hive of activity when the BREC Art Party is held in the undercover carpark, followed by Out of the Box + Into the Cube in the Sky Bar and Cube Theatre!

The BREC Art Party is a free community event being held from 4-8pm as part of Re.Discover week. Plenty of local creative talent will be on show, including three local artists - Dee Mosca, Leon Hardy and Kristjan Vredenbregt - who will paint pop-up artworks on the day. Both Dee and Leon were winners of "The Art Games Skirmishes" for alternative art group Shot Through the Art. A chalkboard stage will also be set up for local musicians to come along and play on the day.

Local residents who come down throughout the afternoon can enjoy food, shaved ice, fresh juice and coffee while having a browse through art markets featuring local arts and crafts.

The BREC Art Party will be followed by Out of the Box + Into the Cube, a ticketed event being held upstairs at BREC. Indie-electric trio Crooked Colours will be headling the show, supported by GRRL PAL. DJ Sounds Legit will be spinning tunes in the Sky Bar all night long, keeping the crowd entertained as they have a whirl on our retro arcade games or challenge their mates to some ping pong. Delicious eats will be available on the night from Mojo's pop-up street food stall and The Sky Bar will be serving a variety of tasty summer drinks including our hugely popular jam-jar cocktails.
