For the first time in Bunbury, West Australian Ballet presents its iconic Ballet at the Quarry season.
Headlining the program is the Australian premiere of international choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's Zip Zap Zoom, an energetic fusion of hip hop, ballroom, cabaret and other dance forms.
La Pluie, also by Ochoa, is a captivating, fluid pas de deux set to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, while the third piece, Steptext, brings the work of famed choreographer William Forsythe to West Australian Ballet for the first time.
The final piece, Hold the Fourth, by dancer and choreographer Daniel Roberts, uses a quote from George Orwell's 1984 to describe the new work - 'War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength'.
Zip Zap Zoom is an electrifying feast for the senses!
For just $95 per person, you will get premium VIP seating, a drink & canapes on arrival, tea/coffee & biscuits at interval PLUS a poster signed by some of the dancers!
