THE LOVE ARMY IS MARCHING!
Melbourne riff-rock trio Dallas Frasca are setting out on a massive national tour on the back of their newly released and widely acclaimed album, 'Love Army'. Out of the Box + Into the Cube is one of their first shows!
Leading the charge, by what Sydney Morning Herald has claimed to be the "best female-fronted act in Australia", is the eccentric and powerhouse front lady Dallas Frasca herself on electric guitar and vocals. With no bass and a sound fatter than mud, she is backed by the upside down, left-handed guitarist, Jeff Curran and Josh Eales on drums that complete the explosive and irresistible trio.
Renowned for their electrifying live shows, Dallas Frasca recently played to a 40,000+ strong crowd in Le Mans in France as a part of the 24hr Circuit race, and have been since labelled by the Europeans as "the next AC/DC". Support slots have included Patti Smith, Triggerfinger, Earth, Wind & Fire, Aerosmith, Billy Joel, Van Halen, The Tea Party and festivals all throughout Europe and the U.K alongside 30 Seconds to Mars and many more.
They will be supported on the night by Battle of the Bands winners Said the People, who recently also graced the stage at Bunbury's Groovin the Moo as one of the Triple J Unearthed winners. Hailing from Busselton, Said the People are a five-piece alternative rock band who are fast making a name for themselves on the local music scene.
The action won't just be happening in the Cube, with two of Bunbury's favourite DJ's playing back-to-back sets in the Sky Bar. Nate D & Princi have had a stellar few months, recently playing at Bali's Forgotten Island festival alongside such music heavyweights as The Kite String Tangle, Illy and Kilter. They both also had spots on the Mootown line-up at Groovin the Moo, and are now ready to bring the tunes to the Sky Bar at Out of the Box!
As always, there will be pizza available to buy on the night, and our bars will be serving a huge selection of drinks including our famous Sky Bar jam-jar cocktails. In between sets punters can chill out in our Sky Bar, play some retro arcade games or challenge their mates to some ping pong.
