Top 5 Tips to Planning Your Company Christmas Party

Top 5 Tips to Planning Your Company Christmas Party

If you find yourself in charge of organising this year's annual Christmas party, no doubt you'll want to make sure your Christmas Party is one to remember! Here's my helpful guide to ensure your Christmas party goes with a band!

1. Get planning - now!

The best venues get booked up fast and you don't want to be left with the only venue in town as your option. Make sure you get a date in everyone's diary as early as possible then start the all-important task of finding the perfect venue.

2. Get out of the office

No one wants to spend their Christmas party in a cramped office or workshop, find a venue off site that's easy to get to and has the option for taxis at the end of the night. If you do have to stay in-house choose a room away from the usual work area and try to make it festive - a little bit of effort goes a long way!

3. Choose a theme

A theme will really bring your party together, perhaps Christmas past or novelty hats or you could even plan an activity like wine tasting to really get everyone involved.

4. Plan a great menu

Whatever you do, remember to include enough food for your guests. Find out what your budget is and find a menu that offers something for everyone! For larger groups a buffet can be ideal as it means people can eat when they are ready. If you are wanting to create a real social atmosphere why not try finger food or bowl food which will allow people to move around the room and be more social with their peers.

5. Don't forget the entertainment!

Music is all important, and whilst you want a few of the Christmas classics make sure you have some tunes to cater for every taste and get people up and dancing! Perhaps there's a secret DJ in the company or you could even introduce a karaoke machine.

So there you have it follow these tips and you're set for a fantastic company Christmas party in 2016.
