BREC's Black Box students shine in The Cube

BREC's senior Black Box Youth Theatre students were given the opportunity to showcase their work in front of friends and family in BREC's new Cube theatre on Wednesday 17 September.

Students performed two pieces of drama which they have been working on this term. Their modern take on a Shakespearean act, Thou Step Upon My Shoes, was first, followed by Oscar Wilde's The Canterville Ghost.

Black Box teacher Hollie Strindberg said the kids thoroughly enjoyed performing in The Cube theatre.

"They felt so fortunate to be given the opportunity to work in a professional venue such as BREC".

"The lighting and sound were great and really added to the performance. Parents enjoyed watching their kids showcase what they have worked towards".

Black Box classes will resume in Week One of Term 4, and both junior and senior classes will begin working on their end-of-year performances.

Black Box Youth Theatre is made possible by our Youth and Community Sponsor Bendigo Bank.
