What does BREC stand for?

Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre

Where are you located?

Our street address is 2 Blair Street Bunbury. It is on the corner of Blair and Symmons Street, between the Grand Cinemas and the Bunbury Visitors Centre. You can find us here.

What accommodation and restaurants are near by?

Bunbury offers a range of accommodation and restaurants just a short 5 minute walk from the Entertainment Centre. Find out where to eat, drink and sleep here!

What transport is available to the Entertainment Centre?

The Entertainment Centre is next to the main bus depot in Bunbury which has buses constantly en route from the Centre of Bunbury to the outskirts. There are also two taxi companies available situated in Bunbury. Check out our Parking & Transport page for more information.

How do I book tickets?

You can book tickets in person at the Box Office, over the phone, online on this site or via fax. See our Booking Info page for information on the ins and outs of our ticketing system. All bookings incur a booking fee of $3.50 per ticket.

Can I Lay-By my tickets?

Lay-By is available for all purchases including our Series discounts. We require a small deposit at the time of booking and then regular payment until the full amount is paid off. The full amount is to be paid one week prior to the performance.

How can I pay for tickets?

You can pay for your tickets by cash, credit card, cheque or money order. Further information on buying tickets can be found on our Booking Info page.

Can I get a refund on my tickets?

In line with the Australian Ticketing Code of Practice, no refunds are given unless the performance is cancelled. In the event of a performance cancelling, BREC will make contact with you and issue a refund.

Can I change seats after I have purchased them?

You can change your seats to a performance once they have been booked. If the tickets have been paid for and you want to change them, we require the tickets to be returned to the Box office and an exchange fee will apply to the new tickets. This fee varies for each performance, so please check with the Box Office.

Can I get tickets upstairs?

If the performance is in Stage One and the Dress Circle has been opened, you can purchase tickets for upstairs. In some cases, the upstairs seating is not opened in which case seats can not be purchased.

What do I do if I lose my tickets?

If tickets are lost, they can be replaced, however not straight away. You will need to report the lost tickets to the Box Office, on the night of the performance, the Box office staff will ensure those seats haven't been taken and will then re issue the tickets.

What do I do if my tickets are stolen?

If your tickets are stolen, you need to report it to the Police and then notify the Box Office staff of the situation. A record of your transaction is taken, this is why we ask for your details when making a booking. On the night of the performance, the Box office staff will ensure those seats haven't been taken and will then re issue the tickets.

Can I buy tickets online?

Yes. It's easy to purchase online; you can choose your own seats via a map and pay with debit/credit card. Please visit our Booking Info page for instructions or call our friendly Box Office staff.

Which Credit Card can I use to book tickets?

You can use any cards except Diners cards.

Are you open on the weekends?

Administration hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm and the Box Office is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. During events, the Box Office and bar facilities are open 45 minutes prior to a performance.

How do I find out what is coming up at the Entertainment Centre?

Our Coming Soon page is regularly updated with all our exciting upcoming show. We also issue a quarterly programme of events coming up at BREC. This is sent to our BREC Club members or is available to the public at the Entertainment Centre and certain shops around town.

What is the difference between a 'BREC Presents' show and other shows?

If a show is marked with 'BREC Presents' you know that that show has been hand-picked by the BREC team for our loyal audience. Shows not marked with this label are touring companies hiring our venue. Click here to see the upcoming BREC Presents shows.

What is the BREC Rewards?

BREC Rewards is the new rewards programme that offers you more! Enjoy exclusive discounts on all your favourite entertainment, savings from the BREC bars and special early-bird offers and sales. To become a member, or to find out more information Click here.

What counts as a Concession?

A concession rate applies for selected shows to someone who holds a concession card. This includes a Centrelink Health Care Card, Aged Pension Card, WA Seniors Card, Disability Pension Card or War Veterans Pension Card. However some events will have more specific criteria, for example it may only accept Aged Pension Cards. Please check with the Box Office staff when booking.

Is there a bar?

BREC has three bars, two in the Stage One foyer and the brand new Skybar on the first floor. These bars are all licensed and operate for most shows, opening 45 minutes before the performance begins and during the interval (if the performance has one).

Can you take food and drink into the auditorium?

Food and Drinks other than bottled water are not permitted in the auditorium for live performances, unless otherwise specified.

Is there parking available? Do I have to pay for parking?

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes. Wheelchair access to the building is available. Wheelchair seating in the theatre spaces is limited so you need to make our Box Office staff aware of your wheelchair requirements at the time of booking.

How long before a show do I need to arrive?

The Centre opens 45 minutes prior to the performance; you can arrive any time during those 45 minutes.

If I arrive late can I still get into the show?

Usually, you can enter the auditorium after the performance has commenced. However some shows stipulate no late comers be allowed to enter the auditorium until a suitable break in the performance (this may be interval).

How many seats are available?

There are 810 seats available in the Stage One theatre and 242 seats in The Cube theatre.

Can I take a camera into the theatres?

No. Cameras and recording equipment are not permitted in the auditorium at any time. Media professionals may photograph within the foyer; please visit our Media Centre page for further details.

Are there tea and coffee facilities?

Usually, the tea and coffee bar will open before a performance and during interval (if the performance has one).

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes. We have gift vouchers available for purchase at any time during the year. These can be for the amount that you prefer and can be personalised with a message from you.

Do you have a newsletter?

We have a programme of events that is available every three months. It contains an outline and description of upcoming events. We also send out an E-newsletter that gives news of upcoming events so you can stay in the loop and be informed of the latest and greatest. You can subscribe our E-newsletter here.

Can I take my pram into the theatres?

Prams are not permitted in the auditorium. They can be left in the foyer in a suitable and safe place.

How do I find out what is coming 6 - 12 months ahead?

The Calender of Events and Coming Soon pages on our website contains all the shows that are on sale and available to the public at one time. Patrons can also book in advance and buy a Series Package to receive heavy discounts via our Series discounts. Some events may not be booked or confirmed so far in advance.

Can my child sit on my knee?

Children under the age of two are allowed to be nursed by a parent or guardian. Children over the age of two are required to purchase a seat. We ask you to be aware of the patrons seated behind you when nursing an infant to ensure the view is not obstructed.

Please note that this age is subject to change at the promoter's discretion. Please ask the Box Office for details when booking.

Can I hire the venue?

Yes. You can hire the Entertainment Centre's various state of the art facilities providing they are available. Check out the Hire the Venue page.

Do you have hard of hearing units?

Yes. Hard of hearing units are available free of charge, so people with hearing difficulties will now find it easier to enjoy live shows and movies. The units provide a more personal control of the volume, making it easier to hear dialogue or music, and can be used at any seat in the house. Please request a unit when you make your booking.

Do I get a discount for booking as a group?

Yes. On selected shows there is a group booking discount. Ask at the Box Office at the time of booking.
